I use the Magellen Meridian Gold series which was discontinued a few years ago. That one I have the handlebar mount and uses regular AA batteries. I find a decent run time using NiMH batteries although the battery level never shows fully charged compared to alkalines.

I also have the 12 volt adapter for the unit so the ATV powers it.

I also purchased the Explorist 400 series when Sam's club had a good sale going on. That unit I had problems with and their support is horrible. It took over 8 months to resolve it! Thankfully I bought the unit as a spare and didn't really need it. I don't have a handlebar mount for this one.

Once these units break, I will be looking at Garmin.
