About a month later, I saw someone else stuck fruther down by where the standing water had been when I was stuck. The stuck ATV was bigger than mine and a little more thoroughly stuck. Another big ATV with a winch was trying to help this guy out. He got in position and started the winch. It tugged at the stuck ATV but after trying for ten minutes all it did was drag the ATV on dry land closer to the mud pit.
The tow I got was from a big 70's-ish Ford Bronco and what eventually got this quad out was another truck with a winch.
