Update to my neutral problems. 1st: It's really not a problem getting into neutral. I can get into neutral. But I don't always get a neutral light. But, when I'm in neutral, I can move the reverse lever and I can get a reverse indicator light. 2nd: If I don't get a neutral light I can't start the machine with the electric starter. But I can start it manually. Now, I think the problem is the Neutral Relay. But my brother thinks it's the Neutral Switch.
The biggest problem is that this doesn't happen all the time. It's intermittent. Bouncing the machine or rocking it back and forth sometimes helps and i can get the neutral light and then start it electrically.
I've studied the electrical wiring diagrams six ways from Sunday. It looks to me like the Neutral Switch provides a ground to the indicator lights and relays (depending on the position of the Reverse lever). But the Neutral Relay provides power to the Electric Starter button.
Any other thoughts from anyone?
