If you can be dedicated to buying good fuel, ask a Polaris race shop about modifying your ATV's cylinder head for higher compression. I've had 2-strokes set up to run on race fuel and a bunch to run on premium pump fuel. In all cases, it made the engine run stronger, start easier, and leave fewer deposits on the spark plug.

I highly recommend this modification, but check with a Polaris shop since there might be some special considerations if your machine is air cooled.

I they get about $75 to mill and reshape a two-stroke head.
