I am writing in response to your January 4, 2007 e-mail to Commissioner Lisa
P. Jackson regarding DEP's policy on Off Highway Vehicle Parks.
The Department is presently developing this administration's policy related
to this important issue. The DEP presently owns the site in Monroe Township
and it continues to be considered for this use. Prior to moving ahead on
this issue however, we must address critical legislative, regulatory,
management and environmental concerns.
