I have 2001 scrambler 500 4x4 that I just bought. It runs good and is pretty fast for a 500. I get a loud backfire when I am going fast and let off the throttle. I dont mean just a little putt, putt, putt, I mean it sounds like a gun shot!! I also get a little gas coming out of the over flow tube from the carb. I have cleaned the carbs, and also bought a moose carb rebuild kit and have got nowhere. It still has gas coming out , though not as bad. I didnt replace the float it looked okay. Is there any adjustment for the float? What should the clip be for the needle? Any help would be great.
