Arcticat 500i Override

have a 2002 a/c 500i fis does not matter if you are in forward or reverse ,if you dont push the override button for reverse it spits and sputters,push and hold reverse override and it runs fine,then sometimes it with spit and sputter with the button pushed let it go and it will run fine for a few minutes, could this be the neutral switch,or reverse switch, any suggestion would be a great help.

i did unplug the wire harness from the engine to the console for the light and it sputters all the time till you hit reverse override.

Sounds like a shorted /bad switch. or maybe a wire thats worn through.Its not the first time that this kinda thing has come up.
