my valve cover is leaking again. and i found that there is no gasket. no sure why there isnt one but there isnt. im just wondering what everyone else who has had this issue has done to fix it. im thinking i will buy a new cam cap and possibly make my own gasket for the valve cover use some high temp silicone and call it a day.

I haven't had my valve cover off yet, but did you happen to see a very thin, almost transparent colored film on the valve cover? Is so, that it anerobic (sp) sealer. If not, use a product called Right Stuff by permatex. It's much better than regular silicone.
