The Fox Trackers only lasted about 50 hours.
Looking for some input on decent riding boots that will:
-- last a couple seasons of weekend riding
--have replaceable straps
thanks

I just got a killer deal on the aplinestar tech 10's. I love the way the fit and feel, and quality looks to be great. My OLD pair of tech 5s, lasted probably 6-7 years.
The tech 8's are cool too, diff. then the 10's but still an awesome boot.

I would not recommend the MSR boots..I've have them for 4 years now, and will not buy them again, due to water intrusion...
Everyone speaks very highly of the alpine stars...Are they waterproof? and when you say a great deal, please elaborate....I'm looking to purchase a new pair soon...

How much do the Alpine Stars mentioned here cost. I know a guy parked next to me said his Alpines cost $250, but they might have been top-of-the-line.

the a-stars tech 4 are about 150 or 175
the tech 6 and vectors run around 230
tech 8 are around 300 or so and the tech 10 go for 360-400...all depending on who is selling them...
the are preety water proof...my feet are wet from sweat more than from water entry. the only time i have had water get in them was when my friend got stuck in a stream and i helped him out...the water was half way to my knee and running. very little got in, but enough to make me uncomfortable for a little while.

I went with the A-stars tech 6, thanks to speedyquad's input. For $225 I got (on Father's Day) a pair of boots that are comfortable, sturdy, dry and I feel will be adequate for years of weekend riding. If they tear up after I put the new pegs on the KX... y'all will read about it here!
