Hey Mike, I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that way! I often think to myself about switching back to two wheels.
The quad is great, but around here, it would be nice to go for a quick ride at some local pits, that you can't park a truck or trailer at.
And in fact, a local KTM Dealer has the ability to register any KTM bike (due to a loophole in the titles when they enter the US). It's about $600 extra, for the light kit. But you can have a sweet Motorcross bike, legal to ride on the street! Bad side is they aren't Honda's and they're around $6g's.
Some of my two wheeled rides were:
1981 CR80
1984 XL100
1985 Motomarina Moped! (anyone remember these?)
1987 CR125
1989 CR125
1992 CR125
And my street rides:
1984 RZ350 (Kenny Roberts edition) (I kept this bike for 10years! That's how great it was, it used the same motor as the Banshee! Yes, it was a street legal two stroke street bike)
1994 CBR600

Not going to even bother listing my 2 wheel rides that start with a
1961...
Christian...I see you mention Kenny Roberts.
My uncle, God rest his soul, worked as an official for the AMA.
I used to work the races on the weekends with him as a kid.
One of the races at Pocono Raceway, I got to ride this 750cc Superbike.
It belonged to one of the up and coming stars of the AMA, Kenny Roberts.
That was a great ride around the tri oval at Pocono.
Little did I know who this guy was at the time.
Not exactly sure but this probably took place in the late 70's.
