Hi there,

I'm new to the forum. I just picked up hubby a new pair of boots for father's day because he was less than satisfied with his "get me by" pair he picked up last year (forget the brand). He really wanted the Alpinestar tech 10's. I decided to do a little research and found that a lot of guys were not that happy with their tech 10's. I happened upon the new 2008 Fox F3. I know they are new and Fox doesn't have a good reputation with their boots, but since they were developed with the help of Carmichael and Stewart I figured it was worth a try. We couldn't wait to give them to him (along with his new vented gear!) and he's now got 2 rides on them. So far so good. I guess it's a little early to tell, but so far he says they are far superior to what he had. He really likes them and he said there was virtually NO break in period. He only missed one shift all day on the first day he wore them.

I just figured I would put that out there as another option.

Look forward to chatting with you all!

Tammy

Anybody have the Thor 50/50s? Those look like cool all-around general family-ride type of boots.
