Just wondering if anyone hear plays,
I bought a gun the other night and Im having fun shooting up everything in the yard.
I bought it to keep the bears out of my yard, but its way to much fun to put down.
Just looking for any kind of feedback on playing or equipment.

Buddy...... hows it going??? Did i hear paintball???? Used to play all the time, for like 7years, but got a little too expensive to play at fields. Field paint is usually required, and cost like $100 a case, and i would usually use 1-2 cases a day..... LOTS of paint. If i remember, Chris Giordano plays as well.

If you ever wanna just throw some paint around, my brother in law can probably come out to play, and there is actually a renegade(ie in the woods) field right behind my house....

All of the guys at my work play too. We play woods ball (no speed ball for us old timers).

As far as advice on equipment, no need to spend a grand on a marker for casual play, just get something with an anti chop bolt and upgrade the barrel. Decent marker goes for 125-250. Fully automatic makers are cool as long as you like buying alot of paint and co2 but are not really that helpful in a game. Get a decent mask that is comfortable and had anti fog vents on top and the sides. Never cheap out on paint, it will ruin your marker over time.

I bought an icon gun from my local hardware store they stock quite a bit of stuff. All said and done it cost me about $90.00.
Im having fun painting my back yard for now ,but I cant wait until the bear shows up again.Im keeping the paint balls in the freezer just for him. I noticed if you fire it fast it chops up the balls and makes a mess. Will an electric feeder stop that ?

I have heard people say this, but several of the magazies i have read over the years all have concluded, it doesn't freeze. I have palyed on some really cold days, and no freezing ever occured. At one time they actually made nylon practice balls, these would be great to get your hands on for what you are trying to do, but you can imagine that these were removed quickly when they realized the liability if these showed up on a field.

And yes, a motorized hopper will help with this, but will not cure it. Paint breaks from tim to time, manufacturing irregularites cause this, im sure you know.....

Good paint is usually better, and making sure the paint you are using isnt too tight in the barrel(this is why they make all different size barrels).

Have fun... be safe, this is another sport you are getting involved with that has nothing but negative press associated with it....

Yeah..I used to play a-lot! Then i got married...and had to start making compromises...$200-300 a day in paint was just too expensive...and focused more on riding atv's...and now dirt bikes...

I haven't played in years...I have ton's of gear sitting in my closet....Full camo stuff...even one of those camo "poncho's like things" I forget the real name for it...

It's a lot of fun...I'd consider getting out there to play for a day in the fall...

An 'ACB' or anti-chop-bolt will help with that. It has a spring that lets the bolt 'misfire' if a paint ball is halfway in the chamber. Also, keep the marker clean inside. If you break one and dont get the shell out, everyone after that will break on the shell.
