ok right now suzuki offers a financing promotion, 85$ a month for the first 2 years at 8%. decent to me....but my question is anyone who follows these deals closely, is this basicly the best they do in terms of financing, or does it get better in the fall??

Read the fine print, that probably goes up like crazy after 24months.

You should be able to get a better deal in the fall for financing but right now is a good time to get a good deal on an 07 left over.

The dealership will probably give you anywhere from $800-1200 off the sticker price just so they can make room for the 08's.

Remember that at $85 a month you really want to send them $170 so this way when the 24 months are over you have Knocked off a good chuck off the principal.

I remember when my 2002 Kawasaki was a special promo for $89 a month for 24 months. I doubled the payments and at the end of the 24 months I transfered my balance to a very low interest rate. That is the catch, you have to try and double the payments during the 24 months and then afterwards transfer your remaining balance onto another cc that has a lower interest rate.

Good luck.

Last September Suzuki offered 6% for 24mos. The special ran through 10/31/06.

I passed, and just ended up buying a used bike instead. No payments...If you have some patients, you'll find a like new bike that someone purchased, then realized they didn't have the time to actually ride...That's how I snag them...

I really dig the Suzuki Vstrom nowadays...It's a great street bike that you can also take off road, once you switch the tires to knobs...Also the Kawasaki KLR650 are inexpensive, streetable bikes.

A couple friends of mine just returned from a 10day trip to GOOSEBAY, Canada on their KLR650's...I plan on doing that trip next year...Some of the roads are truly amazing in the back country, starting in New York, and working your way north...

If you get the right bike, you'll be able to ride all year long...keep that in mind...My honda's get ridden all year..My Katana gets ridden about 4 months of the year...

Good luck with what ever you get....

After the initial "deal" The rate goes up to about 16%.. Double up the payments and transfer the balance later .. as said earlier
