Does anyone insure their quad thru Progressive? We currently have Rider and well they suck in what the cover. I was wondering if you have it..which policy did you go with? Are you happy with it?

(Please don't respond with info on Rider..thanks!)

Barb - I have it and I LOVE IT! At first it was a little over $120, but now it's down to less than $90 for the year on a 2005 4x4 699cc quad.

Each claim-free year brings the deductible down along with the premium. A friend at work has filed two claim - never had a problem getting the money. Obviously his premium didn't go down, but it didn't go up either - even after 2 claims in the same year.

Now, that being said, I live in PA and I have no idea what you're in for on that side of the river!

Tim

I have American model insurance the agent is out of Latrobe PA. I just had a mishap (CRASH) to the tune of about $1,500.00 and I called got a claim number the adjuster called me and I e-mailed pictures of the damage and the parts list with prices and they cut me a check the day I spoke to them. So i'm happy.

I have progressive in NJ on two 2005 Polaris Sportsman 450’s. We have full coverage; I believe $250 deductible and pay approx… $250 year. I have never filed a claim with them but they have been easy to work with in doing everything online.

From what I recall our decision to go with Progressive was due to the fact Rider didn’t cover theft/collision only liability and an FYI your home owners insurance usually won’t cover an ATV that is stolen from your home, Progressive coverage does and even covers any damage to our ATV’s in the woods.

Thats one of the reasons that we want to switch. So you carry for the theft and collision. They quoted us for $180.00 for the Brute Force. Obviously its a big machine so that has something to do with the cost. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, Rider doesn't cover theft.

Well, after some adjustments to the info I initially gave them on the quad (helps to have papers in front of you when getting quotes!) Its $138.00 a year and that includes theft. So good bye and good riddance to Rider hello Progressive! I highly recommend that you guys check it out.
