Well Ill start by saying that Im ok other than some bumps and bruises.

Yesterday I went hunting and took my trusty foreman with me. I started climbing a hill Ive climbed before and slipped a bit while going up. As I climbed, I got to the steepest section of the hill and some how I went over a rock that made the front end of the wheeler come up and over the top and flipped over. Took the brunt with my right arm as I pushed the quad away as I fell. It sucked, but thankfully the quad didnt go tumbling down to the bottom of the hill. She stayed put. I flipped her over and started her back up and all was good. Just a little cosmetic damage.

Now onto my question. Ive only got stock tires on my foreman and Im looking to get a set of tires that will bite into frozen terrain and such. Any suggestions? I want to be able to climb this certain hill because the hunting is great at the top of the hill, but from what a few people are saying, the stockers just dont cut it. So what would be a good all terrain tire for the the winter months?

For your quad and situation, I'd recommend either the ITP TerraCross R/T's (http://www.itptires.com/utilityatv/terracross.html) or ITP Holeshot ATR's (http://www.itptires.com/utilityatv/holeshot_atr.html). Both are very durable, great in snow, have a lot of good reviews and are radial. Another option might be the Outlaw MST's by Highlander (http://www.atvoutfitters.net/highlif..._mst_tires.htm). They're not radial, but they have a deeper lug and hold their own from what I've seen. Lastly, there's the Interco Swamp Lites (http://www.atvoutfitters.net/swamp_lite_tires.htm) Seen them in action as well and have heard nothing but good things.

Unsure how big yer bike is...500 I think.... I know the ITP Mudlites just changed there rubber compound to match the 589's they make. Same weight, stronger tire, and hella-grip too.

I reeeally like the Outlaw MSTs mentioned too... I know a few guys who went that route and really like 'em. The Interco Swamp Lites I think is what Tattoo is running on his Kawi.. Here's a pic, can anyone comfirm or deny?

If you're going to ride a lot of mud and soft terrain like I do, you'll love the 27" Maxxis Mudzillas!!

I didnt want to add to this post because I hate to think this guy is hunting with a quad in N.J.
In Jersey its illegal and falls under poaching laws. Maybe he's in P.A. and its legal there.
To you guys hunting with a quad in Jersey,do the rest of us hunters a favor and keep your f-ing quad out of the woods during the hunting season.
I have had several guys ,with tree stands and guns or bows, pass near my tree stand this year and spook all the deer away. one or two of those guys now know how a deer feels with arrows and bullets flying by.

By the way Mark I run swamp fox tires and they work great.

In my opinion, you would have to be to ride in the woods during hunting season in NJ! If you want to get shot at just drive through Newark , Camden, or Trenton!!!
