I have a friend looking to get new tires for his ATV. As we all known, the stock tires that come on our quads suck, puncture easier and do not have the sidewall strength when hitting corners hard.
Just looking to get feedback on what aftermarket tires your running and how they perform.
Please list Year, Make and Model of your quad.
Please list the Brand tire your running and the size.
Please list how this tire performs or where it does not perform.
I think this will help others as well when deciding to shell out money for a new set.
I'll start the first posting.
2005 Polaris Sportsman 800EFI
Maxxis Big Horns Radials
Front 27x9x12
Rear 27x12x12 (these tires actually run bigger that they are labeled)
These tires perform great on pavement, gravel, rocks, hard packed roads and wooded trails. They are not the best mud tire, but do a decent job and the lugs seem to cleanout pretty good. I find that the front tires tend to loose traction when turning in snow or mud even with 4x4 engaged. In real tight woods trails, they tend to be hard to manuver corners when conditions are slippery due to loss of side traction with the front tires when turning. Tires seem to wear very well and should have a long life.

I run 27" Dirt Devils on my 06 Arctic Cat 500 4x4. They are bias ply, and they are heavy. They have held up very well in the rocky stuff that you used to see at Paragon. They bite real well in mud, loose dirt and wet snow, but not so good on ice and loose snow. I had them on another quad, and they lasted forever. They don't have a real aggressive lug on the sidewall, so I can slide through the corners on muddy trials. If you want to do wheelies and have good traction on pavement, these aren't the tires for you, but for my style of riding these are perfect.

2005 Polaris Sportsman 700
Highlifter Outlaws MST
Front 27x9x12
Rear 27x12x12
I love these tires, had Mudlites XXL which stunk, sidewalls too soft!!
The Outlaws are awsome, have three friends that got them after I did and they love them as well!!
Good Luck,

My friend has 27" Mudzilla's on his 2006 500 Sportsman X2 and loves them. I have been thinking of getting them too, but havent decided myself.
I have a 07 Sportsman 800 and I have narrowed it down to 4 types of tires for my bike here they are:
1. 27" MST's
2. 27" BearClaws
3. 27" Zilla's
4. 27" Dirt Devils
Hope this helps.

I have the 27" MST outlaws but I am not that happy with them in Mud. Next time I think I am going back to Mudzilla's like I had on my Foreman for 2 years and I loved them!

04 Kodiak 450
26" x10 and 26" x 8 ITP Mudlights deep lug.
Overall a fanastic mud tire, somewhat weak sidewall, BUT, ITP just started making them with the 589 rubber, so stronger but a litter heavier.
My next tire would probablybe Tattoo's swamps, or Carlisles new MUD WOLF.....

I have Interco Swamplites. I am running 26- 10x12 in the front and 26 -12x12 in the rear. I have them on my 2006 King Quad 700. So far I love them. Mud...no problem, Sand...no problem, snow and ice...no problem. They are very strong tires so far and deep lugs.
