This is horrible. WTF are people thinking or not thinking. Why was this kid by this road or trying to cross over it. Gotta walk them accross the roadways and where the #$@* are the parents? I feel bad for all involved, especially the drivers of the cars who will probably have nightmares forever.

Not to take away from the family's sorrow or loss but this really screwed all of us wicked. The anti-atvers are gonna use this like a friggin flag in the wind. This could have happened with a skateboard or a bicycle but that won't be mentioned. It will be the atv that killed this child, not the fact that he went out into a 4 lane roadway.

Just a senseless loss of life........

My Son is 6 too! I don't understand.......... No words............SAD................

Man, someone better stop these atvs! They just grab little children right from their Mom's arms and force them to do stupid things!

The parents should be brought up on charges of negligience(sp). I am not kidding. That is downright stupid. Those parents should spend time in jail.

YOU CAN LEGALLY CROSS A ROAD ON AN ATV IN NJ, EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NO LEGAL PLACE TO RIDE. GO FIGURE. THIS STATE SUCKS

This is horrible i feel sorry 2 all involved. But this 1 that def couldve been avoided even if parents were there what the hell r you doin trainin ur kids anywhere near a F**kin 4 lane rd. If u dnt have safe areas 2 train correct ridin practices dnt buy your kids quads be the parent. Quads are as safe as your training. and yes i have 3 kids of my own and yes my 7yr old girl rides and im already TEACHING my 2yr old son RIDE SAFE EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone always says, where are the parents? After watching kids come and go in the pediatric ward for the last 2 weeks, with all kinds of injuries, I had this thought. WHAT IF THE PARENTS WERE THERE? We don't know any more than what was in the article, but imagine the horror of watching that happen to your child as you are trying to catch him.

So sad.
