anyone ever did this? im guessing its just a reg flag you buy from a hardware store and then ill just screw the mounting hardware into the bed? if the flag going to stay put at 80mph thats the question?? i dont want it falling off and breaking a window

worse than breaking a window is the lag touching the ground.

Tried this back in Sept 2001. The flag shredded in a couple of days. Turns out that flags are wind rated. Most of them can only handle up to 35mph gusts. If you want to keep one in the bed all of the time, check on the net and you'll find better made flags for windy areas. Also, you gotta keep it lit up at night or remove it. Good to see some patriotism in the ranks......
