Greetings everyone,

A quick history story:

Back in the day, this site used to be called DavidsATVZone and had a rather large following. Over time, just like any other large group or family, people started to form smaller groups (or cliques as they're often referred to) that more closely fit their personalities and riding styles. Most of these groups stayed on the site and comingled with everyone else whereas afew of these groups went off to other sites or formed their own (PA Boys is an example of the latter and is in and of itself, a great site).

Then, David and his wife adopted a little baby boy name Riley. From that point on, his ability to take care of the day-to-day on the site became an increasingly daunting task. He ended up selling his ownership of the site and Mark (MarGinJoey) and myself stepped up our efforts to help him with it but eventually ran into our own "speedbumps" in life and had to step back. At that point, the new owner had made an honest effort to keep up with the spammers and hack attempts, etc. - but as luck would have it, he had a change of careers which took him completely away for a long period of time and the site was basically on autopilot and began to lose it's appeal.

As time went on, it became apparent that a new site would be needed to give our members someplace to call home. TheATVZone was that site. Mark, David and myself (along with a ton of help from BigCatDave) created a new site which to this day is doing quite well.

Fast forward to a roughly a month ago and there was a "family squabble" (not uncommon and certainly not the end of the family) but it was enough to warrant another call to the previous owner to see if he'd sell it back to David. Three days later, the rebirth of ATR had officially begun.

I told both David and Mark that I'd be there to help them as best I could because I think both sites are great in their own unique way and nowadays a lot of ATV sites are going by the wayside.

So to that end, I'm no longer going to just be on the sideline here on ATR - it's time to step back up and do what I can to help a site and all of the AWESOME friends that I've met here over the years.

Lastly, I just want to reiterate that it's not this site or that site - I hope you all frequent as many ATV sites as you possibly can. It's a great way to meet new people and ride different areas.

Hey Tim, Glad to see your renewed commitment to the site. You are a very smart man and an asset to the ATR site. Now if you could only figure out a way to get a couple of more HP out of that KQ you would really be THE MAN!!! :utilrider: :utilrider:

Hey Tim, I have some not so fond memories of being cold. Having spent 10 years delivering cars in the Dakota,s in January beleive me when I tell you I have spent many a cold day in sub zero weather, freezing my ass off . But that afternoon at Tug Hill tooling along at 40 mph in a 35 degree hammering rain storm with nothing more than a t-shirt and a flannel shirt over it, was by far one of the coldest I can remember. At least when I am in Bimiji North Dakota and it,s 37 below zero I can still climb back in the truck evry ten minutes and warm up. That 15 miles in New York was geting dam near unbearable till we got back to the club house.

Oddly enough, It was still fun !!!!!! :utilrider: :utilrider: Go figure
