ok i have no idea if this stuff matters but let me add.....i just got rid of 32in super swamper TSLs.....its a s10 blazer with 5in lift......just hit 100k miles. anyway i just got new 31in tires which are really like 30in, also had the shop change the diff fluids. Also had them replace the pcv valve and also do a fuel injector service. that was last weeked. everything was running great.

this weds, the truck started to "jerk" while taking off at a redlight etc. ive never had this before, so im not really sure how to explain it properly. but it reminds me of a rainy day and you stop on a man hole cover, and as you pass it the tires slip and it jerks the car a little.....this is what it feels like. it only happens at slow speeds.......maybe no faster then 35mph, i cant say ive notice it only happens when it changes gears, ive havnt figured this out yet. it doesnt do it all the time.......and im wondering if its worth taking it to a shop for them to test drive it and not see anything and request to take it apart $$$. other then this, the truck shifts beautifully at higher speeds. its so smooth with the smaller tires i cant even tell it has 100k on it.

can it be the rear? maybe the shop used the wrong fluid or didnt fill it? I was thinking my first step is to change the tranny fluid? and maybe also change the rear again? or should i have a shop look at it?

Check the tranny fluid, it almost sounds like slippage ?

With your track record, find out the problem first before bashing the company that repaired it. Just a word of advice.....

Jerking when taking off would not be a rear diff unless you are spinning one the wheels first then the clutch kit locks and the other tire grabs. If the diff had the wrong fliud you would feel a vibration/slippage when making tight turns. So if the truck doesn't have any vibration or slippage when making a tight turn you can rule that out.

Other things to check other than the Rear Diff would be tran fluid which you said is at a good level. Be sure the right fluid is in the trany, but if you haven't changed it, it most likely is the right fluid.

If the slippage is during takeoff I would suspect the torque converter. When the slippage happens does the RPM's go up then back down when the truck hooks up?

You may have prematurely wore out the trany with those oversized tires.

Let us know what you find, I'm interested to know..
