I'm looking into tires for the quad, will need to get some this year. Anybody ever have a set of Interco Swamplites? They look like nice aggressive tires but I was wondering how they perform, Smooth, clean out on there own, tread life??? etc.

the other kind of tires I've been looking into are ITP Mud lites and 589(more $$) and the mud gear tires. any opions?

I have had alot of aggressive tires for my griz and the best ones I liked so far have been the kenda executioners. My buddy has the Mud lights and they seem to top heavy for the quad. They are a good tire though. It does look like the executions have shown less wear and tear than the mudlights. Just make sure no matter what tire you choose you get a good light aluminum rim for all the aggresive tires are heavy and keep an eye on your hub bearings they are hard on them.
Good Luck.

Everybody I know who has ITP mudlites loves them and they all swear by them. I have ITP 589's and they are heavy, dig like there is no tommorow ( which is more of a bad thing in the snow and mud I've found), expensive, and I have run 589's on 2 different quads now and have never got any holes EVER in my tires, thats the only reason I keep getting them. Oh, and the 589's wear like iron!

I just picked up a deal from Rocky Mountain Atv on a set of Bighorns mounted on ITP212's. They've got a promotion now where they'll give you $100 off a $500 order, plus free shipping, and no tax. They should be here in a little less than a week.

Of course, you can't go wrong with the SwampLites though. I know a few people that have them and LOVE them. My tires are extremely aggressive and puncture resistant, but the tradeoff is that they're alot heavier and very easily tear up the grass even when coasting through.
