Chatroom Noises

Just want to see what people think. I would hate for some not to come chat with us just because they hate the sounds

Although I know that the site can not satisfy everyone, I can at least try to find a happy medium :smiliethumbup:

I like them sometimes because they can be used to show emotion and they are funny but, on the other hand they are over used and become annoying quikly.

Some who come in for some serious chat get annoyed by every other post being a fart and then everyone starts in and it becomes one continueous fart-O-rama.

I have been asked "is that all they do in chat is make fart noises?"

You shouldn't have to remove them if they are used with discretion and maturity.

Ditto, but I voted to can them all.. Couple reasons..

1 - Cronic stated he had been asked about chat noises...me too.

2 - More personal, but I usually have headphones on, so the fart sounds interspersed amongst " Black Sabbaths - Junior's Eyes" somehow sounds like it shouldnt be there, probabably because Ozzy didnt WANT it that way.

3 - I make enough of those sounds on my own. I don't need it in surround sound 3d!

4 - Chat is chat, smilies convey emotion too...... so use those.

Just my opinion, and I'm full of 'em too...opinions that is...

Get rid of all the sounds and the lines of text that go with it!

At least with mIRC, you will only hear the sounds you've opted to download. With David's chat all the availble sounds get played without your permission.

GET RIDE OF THE FART NOISE SOME PEOPLE OVER USE THEM :smiliethumbup: WAY TO MUCH IF WANT TO FART ILL DO IT AT HOME WHERE NOBODY BUT THE GIRL FRIEND HAS TO HEAR THEM LOL

Last night was my first live chat on the zone .. and to be honest,

I felt like it was a barney room chat

some people overuse the noises.. and have nothing to say ..

maybe it's me .. i'm a cranky old man

, but i don't think so ,cause when it comes to being a goofball

, i can run with the best of them

i say get rid of them all i have been in the chat a few times and all its just a war of fart noises, dont get me wrong its funny to hear everyonce in a while but sometimes nobody talks

So far, CAN ALL THE NOISES, is winning. Let the poll run another day or so, the decide what to do.
If removing the sounds will get more people into the chatroom, then that is what I will do. When I first got the chat going, I was in there every week. I hate to admit this myself, but the reason I have not been in there for the past couple months, is the same reason as most, the noises. Some people ABUSE the chat sounds and make people want to leave.

Ahhh heck, why wait another day. I just admitted to you the reason I do not go into chat is because of the sounds, so might as well get rid of them now

Hopefully the chat numbers will increase! :smiliethumbup:
