At an auction i aquired a cheap 96 model trx300 fourtrax and got to doin some digging and they said teh elec start didnt work..well for me no big deal but upon further investigation i found a bad rear drive gear in it (Nasty full of mud and no oil) We got it apart and the gears (pinion and ring) actually arent hurt to bad but needs bearings and the pinion bearing was toast nothing left...i have came upon a older 250 fourtrax with the shaft drivven rear end though it is 2 wheel drive i cant find any part numbers to see if the gear ratios are teh same...any ideas before i buy a 4 wheeler for parts that cant be used?? or if anything can my ring and pinion gears fit in that case (seing that me case has some damage though i think a new pinion bushing would cure that.
