just picked up a trx 90 for my older boy. he's now into shifting big time! it's on it's 3rd tank of gas. my only question is that when it's warmed up with the choke off if you let it idle for 30 sec. or so then dump the gas somewhat fast, it just dies! i took the bike to 2 dealerships now and they both said the same thing. the carb does not have an accelerator pump on it, and you have to press the throttle slowly at first to get some rpms going! if this is true then i may want to look into getting a new carb (with an accelerator pump on it) sometime soon.

I just purchased a 2006 (new) trx90 and it does the exact same thing. The dealer has worked on it twice and increased the jet. It still does it... They said to put some hours on it and wait till the weather warms up. I called Honda, they said that it is normal on all Hondas to due that. I told him B.S.... I have a trx 300 2x4 and that it does not die when you punch the throttle.

Just wondering if they was a fix to this problem?

talk about digging up an old post...........I never found out what was making it do that, however it does not do it now, my conclusion is that when its cold it will do that. It has to be totally warmed up before u can open the choke completely, also check the intake valve clearance adjustment, mine was way to tight.
