I have a 250EX with a ProCircuit T-4 muffler. I bouight the quad without the muffler cap missing and it's kind of loud. So I went to order the cap from ProCircuit and they said I will need a cap insert too. So I ordered the cap and cap insert. When the items came the cap was fine, but the cap insert was short and only made to fit the cap. I was under the impression it would fit inside the muffler itself (sort of like a baffle). I'm not noticing much of a difference in noise. I think I am still missing a baffle type of piece. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I had a t-4 n my 02 raptor.

Here's what I did to tone it down quite a bit.

I took the stock baffle out of the stock muffler. It kind of looks like a mini rocket. there were five tabs on the bottom of it. break off two tabs, leaving three (every other one) of the tabs intact. Remove the endcap off your t-4, and gently slide the baffle in. It was an exact snug fit. then replace the three screws. It will definitely be quieter, but you will lose alittle power...

Made it great to ride around locally without pissing the neighbors off, then pops right out if you want to ride elsewhere.

Thanks, it a great idea but I don't have the original exhaust. It sounds like I need to find a baffle.
