My seat has been coming unlatched. It is being put on correctly and all latches are catching, but after some moving around on the seat, it comes unlatched.

Anyone else with a Prairie having this problem? I noticed on other forums that others have the same problem, I emailed Kawasaki and am waiting for a response.

Jeff,
I'm not sure how the prarie is set up , but on my v-force ,my seat latch has come "un-done" once or twice. i have a push down to release lever @ the rear of the seat .. i just chalked it up to movement.. or me missing the latch.. i would check to see if you have any play from front to rear , it can be comming loose that way

Good luck,
Todd

Not sure what the problem is, I know I am putting it on correctly.

Here is what Kawi said....

Jeff-

We have seen a few problems with the seat attachment on the Prairie 650.
Generally they are related to the way the seat is being installed, rather
than a mechanical problem with the ATV. There ia a center attachment hook
that can be incorrectly install that will cause the condition that you have
described. Please see the attachment for more information.

If, once you have reviewd the attachment, you still feel that you have a
problem please bring it to the attention of your Kawasaki dealer as soon as
possible and ask them to contact our technical support line for assistance.

Hey Jeff,
Lakotajoe just got a 700 prarie.. his seat was doing the same as your's.
you have probably done this already , but i'll give it a try anyway .
on the front of the seat he has two tabs that need to go in there slots, one up top and one closer to the battery, they go in first , then the rear snaps into it's holes..
not sure if you tried this .. just a tip.. good luck!
