Well as I knew assembly bill a-4172 is back they pre-filed it with no changes.... I have attached it so you could see just how bad it is.

Bill

But as they promised me there will be a meeting of stakeholders, that being NJOHVA, DEP,MVC,NYNJTC,PPA,OLS and Legislators. Hopefully we can get them to see a little clearer.....

Love the way they exclude golf carts. Hey, no personal interest there. ALso, this does not cover electric atvs and diesel atvs. Hmmm.......

Maybe we should all buy old golf carts and jack them up, or put the cart bodies over our quad frames.

I saw a big2-up twin cyl. 800 (or 700?) Polaris diesel recently... Great idea, twice the range, but boy was it heavy, even for a 2-up machine, over 850lbs!

Still kool!

I agree and put big diesel engines in them and ride around all day.That would be fun, but expensive. Wait didn't chatsworth just close down? and in monroe township they have a 221 acre place where they might build trails and things then the THH(tree hugging hippies)are fighting it?

Based on this crazy proposal, it is cheaper and less punitive to have a moving violation with your "on" road vehicle. Notice that the people introducing the bill are all from the city! I didnt see Burlington or Ocean county in there. Very ironic.

sparta4188,
yes chatsworth is closing 09/08 and the monroe site is catching flack and resistence from the thh community.....

[size=5]UPDATE

We had a meeting yesterday with the Chief of staff of the author of the bill, along with MVC, DEP, NJSLOM,NJCF,NYNJTC,PPA, Sierra Club, OLS, GEHWA, NJORVP, NJ M/C Dealers and NJOHVA and our lobbyist. It seem there is much confusion over who wants what and can do what, who has what authority etc.. for now it seems that there is much more to be discussed before moving any bill.... STAY TUNED...........
