Workshop

The Connecticut Trail Users, East Coast 4 Wheel Drive Association – Region D, Connecticut Motorsports Business Association, New England Trail Riders Association, Northeast Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs, NortheastATVers.com and the National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council in cooperation with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection will conduct an off-highway vehicle association development workshop on Saturday, December 9, 2006, in Old Lyme.


The purpose of the workshop is for off-highway motorcycle, ATV and four-wheel drive enthusiasts and OHV-oriented businesses to come together to build Connecticut’s OHV clubs, specific vehicle associations and a state-wide OHV association. The workshop will include work on leadership, communication, organization management, education outreach, building partnerships, and working effectively with elected officials and the media.

rrocke,
We have actually had 2 of these the first in October of 2002 which as a matter of fact was the template for all state association developement workshops.... and the second was in January of 2005 (I think) both were fairly well advertised and both were held in east windsor nj... We (nj) were the imputis for these workshops... Now we need to make them work... NJOHVA Is the result of the last meeting....

The NJ trailplan seems to cater many hikers as a result of that half----- poll that was taken.

i hike, mt bike and offroad.

The CT plan is strickly for OHV trails it seems.

CT is a small state, how are they doing it??

I dont know about the CT. plan or if it is strickly for OHV or not

BUT I know that the squeky wheel gets the grease and in NJ not enough OHV people sqeek
