On November 6, 2006, the North Central Chapter of CPATVA Inc. made a Power Point Presentation to the DCNR in Harrisburg. Secretary Michael DiBerardinis was scheduled to be at this presentation/proposal, but cancelled at the last minute. There were, however, 9 members of his staff present.
Our presentation/proposal, titled the Renovo Connection, laid out a way to connect the Bloody Skillet ATV Trail near Orviston, PA to the Boroughs of South Renovo and Renovo, using existing Snowmobile trails and forestry roads. This connection would not only bring needed economic benefits to the Renovo Area but would add 23 valuable miles of ATV Trail to the existing Bloody Skillet ATV Trail. Fuel, food, lodging and other amenities would then be available to the riders while on their ATVs, or very near by. Both Boroughs, The Community Trade Association, Clinton County Commissioners and Rep. Mike Hanna are already on board with this proposal and want to see it happen. We also emphasized the importance of connecting the Bloody Skillet ATV Trail to the SSRT ATV Trail. Both connections would be a major break through for ATV Riders.
Our presentation went well and we were pleased with it. We received compliments on the research used in developing it and the professionalism shown in presenting it. We were advised by their team spokesman that we would receive a written response after the 1st of the year and in a reasonable time.
We need you to send either an E-Mail or Regular Letter through the Postal Service, to Secretary of the DCNR, Michael DiBerardinis. Ask him to "PLEASE SUPPORT’ the Renovo Connection Proposal presented to the DCNR in Harrisburg on November 6, 2006 by the North Central Chapter of the Central Pennsylvania ATV Association Inc. We need him to know how the ATV Riders feel about this. The more responses the better and we need these letters sent out before they respond back to us. Please take a moment right now and help support our efforts
