First off the atv was givin to me so i cant complain. I was ridin one day and somebody was talkin to me. Well i couldnt hear them so i cut the four wheeler off. when i went to start it, it wouldnt. Hasnt ran yet. Its getting fire and fuel, compression is good. But nothing still. Could the coil not be producing a strong enough spark? thanx for any help

Check all of your wires to the switches old bike one might of broke off. I have a 86 Trail Boss 250 as well.

A strong spark will appear white and a weak one will appear blue. Does the ATV show any signs that it wants to start?

If you observed a good reading on a compression tester, that's a good sign. The last guy that said his compression was good found out the cylinder was scored up really bad. The finger over the sparkplug hole test isn't very reliable.
