Carb-->sportman 500

I received a sportman 500. 2001- as a basket case, I have this machine looking show room new. looks great, wont start, The carb, had all hoses off from the pump,, I hook up lines and turn it over, fuel pours out the front of the carb. and back fires.
I have taken it apart. put it back together, more than a dozen times. It wants to start. I do not know how to get it hooked up right. I don,t know what to do. many hours of research lead me here, to this cite. I picture or explanation would be great.
any-body?----------------I have literrally takin every single part of this machine and cleaned, fixed, or replaced, it only needs to start,

Buy a service manual from the dealer,or get one on line. It should have a hose routing diagram .
Judging by your other post a book may be the best way help you with your problems.
