400 Sportsman Problem

i have a 04 400 sportsman began missing on accelleration at mid range sounded like rev limiter,now it died no spark at plug maybe cdi?rectifier?stator? i don't know where to start please help

remove the front small panel,check all the wiring there..seen many 400's with chaffed wires,corrosion.also check etc switch for proper adjustment in your throttle casing.check other basics etc.drive belt,battery......most times its bad wiring
