Hey all I havequeastion. I not sure if my chain need to be adjusted or not. It has some slack in it but i not sure if it shold or not. I read in my manual and it was not clear to me. It said something a deflecting in it

Not sure on the "how to" for a scrammy but the deflection is just a measurement of how far you can move the chain up and down or just up in the center between the two sprockets etc.

HAve seen different recomendations for various models etc but if its more than 2 or maybe three fingers it needs to be looked at closer.

I have a friend that actually pulls out a ruler and sets his to the exact yami spec, but thats a little anal if you ask me. So do your best and dont over do it as a too tight chain (without slack) is worse than a lose one and can cause all kinds of problems with the bearings.

Hey Mike,
Roll the quad forward until there is no slack on the bottom half of the chain. Then measure the top half by moving it up and down. (that is your deflection)It should be no more than about 3/8 of an inch. ANy more or less and you need to do some adjusting. Hope this helps.
