I was at paragon last weekend and brought my '03 scrambler for my friend to ride.Everytime the scrambler went thru deep water the belt would slip like a mother had to remove the little red plug, drain the water, and then it was good to go, at least to the next water hole .The boot with the zip ties was ok,even put new zip ties on and tightened them real good.before I pull the cover and check the seal I figured I would throw this topic out there. Right now its covered with lots of mud and so is the banshee,Sunday was a great day at paragon

check the seal under the cover and the one behind the drain plug. Also the zip ties around the vent tube in my opinion arent good enought to make a seal. Try getting some hose clamps, the ones they use on radiator hoses.

I agree with polarisnut. I replaced the zip ties with hose clamps after I got stuck in a water hole due to my belt slipping. Haven't had a problem since.

P.S. Going to paragon this sunday the 21st if anyone is interested.
