I've heard that Polaris still buys all their engines from Fuji Heavy Industries of Japan. Is this 100% correct, or do they manufacture some of the engines here in the USA?

I believe the engine in the Sportsman 600 is made in the USA, but I am not sure about any others. :rider:

They also need to go on a diet! The Polaris Outlaw with big KTM motor is almost 40 pounds lighter than with the Fuji 500 engine.

gotta love it. polaris with fuji engines and arctic cat with suzuki engines. I laugh when people think they are buying american products. these days you really dont know what your getting. parts come from all over the planet, sometimes from countries that you cant even pronounce or know exsisted for that matter, pretty freakin sad.

Fuji used to supply engines for Hodaka back in the day. Arctic cat's 650 single is US made. Arctic Cat has used both Suzuki and Kawasaki engines. Years ago small H-D's were italian made.
