400 L Sport

my brother in law took my 96 400 l sport to the little sahara in oklahoma, it ran fine for a while, then it quit on him... he brought it home, it wouldn't start so i thought maybe carb was clogged, took carb off, cleaned it up... it's getting fuel, but still won't start... forgot to mention the spark plug was loose when he got home, and they didn't loosen it. can anyone help with my problem???

He's got more work to do on this. Check for spark then take the head off or else you'll get a handful of guesses to what the cause is.
