earlier today sent a post on above title, and found air breather hose from the oil tank (made before 01/02/02)to the air box it has a(blown) hole in the middle of it hoping that might be the problem.if so can anybody tell me how to remove the hose off the oil tank.[/b]

I hope this isn't a case of better later then never but I missed this post earlier. There should be a slit (hole) approx 3 inches from the oil tank in the hose, this is a bypass in case the remainder of the hose gets pinched or plugged in some way. I guess its a primitive type of PCV (primary crankcase ventilation) or something and the oil vapors are supposed to return to the air box to be burned... None the less in being "Anil" about doing my oil change in the manual they tell you clamp the hose before the slit in a process of properly priming the oil pump after the oil change. So there you have it, I hope it at least explains why the hole is there.
