For you folks in the Northeast you have to check out this trail system: www.ssrt.org $15.00 a year and you can ride 24/7/365. You can put on 100 miles a day without a problem. It some of the best in Pa.

It looks awesome! Cheap!! Only problem is its over a 3 hour drive from northern NJ, about 200 miles away and with these gas Prices, A simple weekend would cost Hundreds $$. I wish it was closer

Its definitely a long ride from NJ. Not something you'd want to do every weekend, but it would be nice to get a group ride to go out there and at least check it out once.

I'm also have a trip planned for the weekend of June 21-22 - will be staying at the holiday inn in milesburg - which is the closest hotel to ssrt - approx.17 miles away - have not ever ridden there but have seen the terrain from rt.80 - looks great

To the best of my knowledge it's atv only - if you check their site there are phone numbers of people who run the place www.ssrt.org

SSRT only allows ATV's /Side by Sides. No dirt bikes. You can camp for free at the trail head. But it is rough camping. There is another Hotel at the next exit past the Snow Shoe exit(7miles) that is much cheaper then the holiday Inn. It's called the Kwik Fill Motel and runs around $ 58.00 a night. They have a 24 hour diner and store right there. You can also buy your permit to ride SSRT at the Snow Shoe sandwich shop. It is located to the left of the light as you get off Rt. 80 at the Snow Shoe Exit. It is $2.00 more but you will have it and won't have to worry about riding without it. The sticker they give you must go on the left fender so it is visible to any one pasing you from the other direction. This place is full of side trails . You can put on 100 miles in a day without a problem. When I go I always plan on spending the weekend. Here is a tip that you will thank me for. " BRING & WEAR DUST MASKS". You'll be happy you did because it can get pretty dusty on the main trails. It's one of the best riding areas in the Northeast. You won't be disapointed. www.ssrt.org
