I saw you look to see who posted this.... and you're wondering, "wait- Marks bike is offline.... what the heck?" right???
So... I got home early from work, cleaned up the driveway, and heard the neighbor and son start up their quads... So I wandered over and found the father was only starting it to keep the battery charged. Fair enough. So I volunteered to ride it...
I put on my helmet, heavy riding gloves, slapped on my winter boots, figuring I'd take a five minute spin. I left my nice work slacks on (*1) and didnt even bother to change my good work coat (*2).
1* Those are now in the garbage.
2* Heading for the dry cleaners, my only good, heavy, work coat- and by work I mean office nice work coat.
So here I am, buzzin through the woods, having a grand ole time, being an ahole is what I do best, staying clean because everything was frozen back there (*3)
3* "EVERYTHING" was an apparent exaggeration, my new "*3" should now read, EVERYTHING, BUT THE CREEK.
I got stuck gooooooooood! I have no winch, my cell is dying, I'm now alone, so Vin (Yamaha125 here) here can get ready for basketball. I know, dont ride alone, I was maybe 100 yards from my back yard if that... No traction, stock tires with maybe 70% tread life, a dead battery, or at least a low one, running out of gas, almost, and starvin and thirsty.

EIGHT INCHES OF ICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~45 minutes later..(time flies...) I used what was left of my cell phone to call them back to me, luckily we had plenty of time before the game. So of course my tow cable and winch are at Tattoo's. I dont own a tow worthy rope otherwise. Know what we used? A CHAINLINK FIRE LADDER!!!! But it worked!!! Got right out!!! Thankgod! Funny thing is, my nieghbor has never seen my winch in action.... too bad I didnt have it! I wouldnt have even needed them.....
But ya know what???? WE LOVED EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF IT!!!
