When I was a younger man, I did many goofy and pretty much stupid tricks on bicycles. I was out with the kids for a bikeride the other day and for some reason got the urge to impress the kids. Well impress them I did. I tried to lay the bike down on its side almost to the ground while still riding it. Used to be pretty good at that, hanging on to the end of the handlebars and standing on the side of the frame. Well, I don't know what made me put it down to the right side which actually was working right up to the point when the derailer dug into the ground. I don't know if the sound I made or they way I got thrown was funnier. My kids never laughed so hard. In fact they laughed all the way home as daddy carried his bike. I have never seen a rim bend like that. No scars but a huge bruise on the ego.
