DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME, KIDS! Well, I just had to pull one last stupid move before 2004 was over. We went out riding Dec. 30 at night. It was about 55 out, nice and warm. I must have left my brains at home that night. I decided to make a run across the frozen(almost) pond. I got all the way across, about 5 feet from the other bank when I heard a loud CRACK, and my right side dropped into the water. I swam off, and got out of the water as I watched her go down! I watched the headlights go out, then all I could see was the 2 left tires just poking out of the water. My friends came around and pulled out his winch, so I jumped back in and was able to flip it upright, so it floated. I got winched out, while another guy got me dry clothes. We towed it back, drained half the pond out of her, and changed all of the fluids. It actually started! I ran it for a bit, then changed the fluids and filter a couple more times. So far, the only damage was 2 blown headlight bulbs. I'm pretty lucky, it could have been alot worse. The ice was only 2 inches thick where I went through. Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid..................
