Red face

I went riding this past weekend and thought i could keep up with the other 5 guys with sport quads, i was so very wrong. it was in tower city, pa, and its part campground. we had to ride through the campground to get out to the trails, so we were going and i was following them with my bf behind me on his warrior and his friend behind him, i was on a big bear 400. in case anybody hasn't been there, its very rocky, and i mean big rocks. i thought i could go down this hill like they did and i was manuvering around the biggest rocks and i guess i cut the wheel too fast to the right and i went over. i flipped the quad (mind you, thats my DADS quad), ow. i landed on my left side, arms bent and cut up, my legs were under the quad, and they smacked a big rock on the way down i got what i thought was a gash in my left knee but it didnt bleed that much so i think it was just an indentation mostly. i dont bleed much anyway, at least my 8 piercings didnt. i cant really walk much now, i think i hurt the muscles under my knee caps cause i cant lift my left leg or much of my right without it hurting. on top of that my back is killing me. we all went up friday night and i did this on saturday morning, like 7am. so i went from then to about 1 without cleaning it and it started to heal with the coal dust in it. i got back to camp about 1 and cleaned it and put ice on the hole in my knee and bandaged myself up. right now my knees are generating heat and i work on the second floor with no elevator and i have to go up and down the stairs all day. so besides wobbling around, im good!

Glad you made out OK. The sport quads have a great suspension for that stuff.
Sorry you got hurt. But it sounds like you are doing fine. Might want to get that knee checked though. Could have damaged tendens.

Tell Dad the bike got hit in the parking lot while you were shopping and you didnt see a thing :hysterical: :hysterical:

i didnt have to hide it from him, as long as i didnt do any major damage, i just scratched the handlebars a little on the top cause i flipped it completely over and my bf said that my legs were uner it but i didnt feel it.

yesterday i took my moms brand new car to work, i was happy cause it was automatic (and my car is stick). today my dad took off in the taurus (automatic)(which my mom took yesterday), and my mom took off in her car and they made me drive my jeep. omg! it hurts!! it just made it worse and i laid a guilt trip on my mom when i got in the car.

Glad to hear you're mainly ok - no broken bones.

Do you remember what trail you were on when you fell?

nope, i didnt have a map all weekend, but ill find out tonite. but i do know that it was right as you get out to the trails through the campground part. a slight bend to the left then down the rocks (that i fell on) then a slight right and it was a little flat. but im sure that describes almot all of the trails

walkin a little better, my right leg feels a little better but i still have a hole in my left knee.

It sounds like you might be talking about the section of Trail # 1 from the top parking lot area that heads out towards Mt. Everest and the Turnpike. Another rider wiped out pretty good there Memorial Day weekend and had to get flown out.
