Let's just say this:I never thought I could be up to my neck in the Passaic River holding my floating Honda above my head. I never thought I would be able to get it out (half hour of continous agony folks, I'm talking miracle here). It then started twenty minutes later. Also, did you know that if your swingarm bolt falls off, you lose alot of bearings, and the shock mount breaks? That was another interesting day. That was my first month. When my ATV comes back from the dealer, I'll see how my second month goes.

I don't know if I WANT to ride with you for the cool pictures you would supply the site with or if I DO NOT want to ride with you for fear that bad luck might rub off on me

Actually David, it wasn't actually IN the Passaic, it was trying to cross one of those 'offshoot inlets' when it's over flowed. The first time I crossed this 8 foot water filled valley, (it's part of the trail) it wasn't as overflowed, and I had forgotton that a bridge was built out of wire mesh. The second time I crossed it, the bridge was completely covered, and I didn't realize that there even WAS a bridge. I rode a line like two feet to the right of it, thinking it would be less deep, and only driver side wheels crossed it. The other two wheels led the way though, and you know the rest! KAPLOOSH! Sidenote: It's @#%$*#$% cold just before dark in February when you are wet from the neck down. I actually used my foil blanket in my first aid kit. I aint proud! Wazu

Im from the part of the Passaic that is in East Hanover and Livingston. It is pretty nasty here too. Even the mud has it's own "special" composition, and it takes at least two cleanings to get it all off the ATV. It used to be way way worse in the 70's when there were lots of pieces of styrofoam floating down it, and oil slicks. Since then it has gotten alot better. We used to make boats out of the pieces of styrofoam and float down the river and hitchhike back home. I even used to swim in it, and it was excessively itchy afterwards. I was like 11 at the time. I just pray that I don't die of something related to it! Wazu
