I have a 2000 King Quad 300 and I'm having some issues with the bike. Seems that it will crank great and will throttle well for about 10 to 15 seconds and then it goes to missing really bad. Or at least that is what it sounds like. It really sounds as if it is hitting every other stroke. Last year I had to replace the voltage regulator so keep the bike battery charged now as the man at the bike shop told me that is usually what kills a voltage regulator. (un-charged battries)
You can turn the bike off and when you crank it right back up it runs great for about 10 to 15 seconds before it goes back into this degraded state. I have checked the carburetor for flow and have removed the air filter thinking it is an air problem but nothing helps. Anyone else have this problem and can you give me any advice? I hate to have to buy another 100.00 regulator not knowing if that is the problem.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have this same exact problem, anyone have any ideas, it isn't the fuel pump that is for sure, I replaced mine and it had no affect.
