hey everyone,
i have a suzuki 1987 lt230 quadsport that is driving me crazy!!!!heres my problem,
the bike will start on first kick,run for about a minute and then die...the bike will not start agian for atleast 2 hours later, then it repeats agian..if i try to keep kick starting it ,it will start for maybe a second then die.
i have cleaned the carb,new plug and new gas..if i spray starter fluid in the air filter it starts right up and then dies as soon as the fluid weres off.
any help will be greatly appriated.

Well when you say cleaned the carb do you mean that you have removed the carb and taken it appart and cleaned it or just sprayed carb cleaner thru it?? From your discription of the problem it's not getting fuel properly. The first thing I would do is to take the fuel line off the carb and turn the fuel valve on to make sure you are getting fuel from the tank. There is a fine screen in the tank on the fuel valve that may be clogged. If you are getting a nice fuel flow than the next thing I would do is to take the carb off and take the fuel bowl off and check the float and the needle & seat to make sure it isn't all gummed up and stuck not allowing fuel into the fuel bowl. While you have it off you should give it a good cleaning internally. Also look at the boot that goes between the carb and the engine, If it becomes cracked it will suck air and make it not want to run
