Lt 230 (230lt)?

I gotta quikie (which will probally evolve intoa long-y question)..... its a 1980's suzuki ( i do not knwo the exact year). It has reverse, and is completely manual, clutch and all. . I need a Free online manual... because my friend gave me this four wheeler, and it didnt cost a dime. Al lthe parts are in my basement, cause thats were we decided to take it apart and put new parts in there, but he didnt want to deal with it. it has been sitting in a million parts for about a half year. I know some stuff abotu mechanics, beign as i own a moped/dirtbiuke (70cc honda moepd urban express (nu50 with aftermarket parts)).I could poissibly do this myself, but i would like the help so i dont screw it up.. thanks guys,

:huh: I Dont know if this will help or not, but it is a 1986 suszuki lt230 quadrunner... I hadda get that from my freind. I have the motor rebuilt , and now i need the specs for the carb. I think that i have it all sorted out, but i do not know which hoses are vaccuums, and which are intake, and what have you.
If somebody could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

by the looks of it it's a quad sport the runner has electric start and a pull start.

oh.... yeah, this things got kickstart, and there aint no electric start.... lol :fireevil: so... anyone got any ideas obout the carborator?
I need to know which one is the gas line, which is the intake?(i dunno) and possibly a vaccuum line? (there are 3 hoses........)

Do yourself a big favor and save a lot of headaches and track down a manual for that thing.

If you had worked on one b4 it would be one thing but taking on a project like you have there with no guide to go on there are so many little things that can be assembled wrong and cause it to give you problems later on when riding it that its not worth what ever you would save from not having a manual.

Good luck with it cause it can be a lot of fun and very rewarding personally when your finished.

Lol.... i know, its gonna make me have some major headaches... but i like the feeling of doing most of it by my self.... (the rest icant get).... Like were do the clutch cables go... i got the one on the side (left, if your facing the front) the decompression? on the front(top of the motor)... but theres a rear brake cable?) that goes to the back (it is round, with a pin hole on the inside)... liek weres that go? im lost.. lol.... and everywhere i go, they only have clymers, and i heard that they are a not-so-good company to go through... so

i had an lt230 back in the day i kno them almost every nut and bolt.
the carb should have 3 vacumms smaller than 1 bigger port. the one bigger hole is you fuel input from the tank. the rest of the lines just run them under the quad. as for the clutch cable it should run through on hole in the front part of the frame where the steering stem is attacked then to the clutch. just make sure it fells fine when pulling it. and for the brakes... idk. :rastaman:

the brake cable going to the back is for the emergancy brake if u have a block off back there u dont need the cable.
