Honda Trx450r Engine Stops(momentarily)in 3rd,4th&5th Gear

This honda trx450r quits or stops running for just a second in 3rd,4th&5th gears.We have checked and rechecked the wiring, terminals, connectors etc.We have found nothing! Does anybody have answers or ideas that we could try?? Thanks

when does it stop running?when you stab the gas? and what year is it..

Have you checked the sprak plug color/condition? If the ATV is running real lean, it might be too weak to accellerate properly in higher gears. Has the carburetor been rejetted or have a pipe or airbox modifications been made without adjusting the carburetor?

Does the ATV back fire frequently or is difficult to start?
