Thumbs up

Hey Guys,

My 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO just started stalling on me a little while ago. I'd be riding it and then suddenly - for no obvious reason - it would stall. Here's more:
  • Throttle Position is Irrelevant - Happens throughout the entire power band
  • Always Fires Right Back Up and Runs Well
  • The Longer I Ride, the Closer the Intervals Get Where It Stalls Again
  • I Already Changed The Fuel Filter, Still Happens
  • There's No Sign that it's About to Happen
  • I Added DryGas in Case it was Water Related
Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Brian

I had a similar problem with my Artic Cat, mine had the gas gauge in the cap and the tube for venting was plugged. It would run good for a while and then stall out and kill, but would fire right up again. Could the vent on your gas tank be plugged??

the cap vent is a good possibility, crack the cap loose a bit and ride it and see if its better if not float level adjustment may be an issue.

Electrical connection possibly? Check battery cables for corrosion also.
