sportsman 500, 2004 model, when in 2 wheel drive, if I spin the rear wheels utilrider.gif and it locks itself into 4 wheel drive mode even with the switch off. I have checked gear oil, switch and the indicator light shows that it is off. Does not have 4 wheel drive hubs has locking front diffential.

Dont know much about that system but I thought the sportsman was like my scrambler with a harness going to each hub with a little electromagnet which locks in the hubs. I know they usually get worn and screw up cause people tend to neglect servicing the hub oil.
