I am working on my 86 trx 350 honda 4x4. The trouble?
It has an electric fuel pump and it is overfilling the carb Bad
with fuel. I have put a carb kit in it, but the kit doesn't come with a seat for the float needle. Also I am not sure of the location of the vacuum lines since when I got this wheeler in it had most disconnected. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. THANKS.

You could have some debris in the seat area. My daughters Suzuki had a piece of metal flashing holding the fload needle open. How high are the floats set? Are they still floating, or are they sinking in the gas?? Take the bowl off, hook up the gas and operate the float up and down. Notice if and when the gas is stopping. When the floats are level there should be NO gas coming out.

I have not worked on one of those but find it odd to hear it has a fuel pump.

Is that a standard part on that quad?

And the answer above about checking the float level and if its even working is a good starting point.

Electric fuel pump?

There is no need for a fuel pump without fuel injection.

Anyway I searched it on the web and found it. Oddly enough it does have one. (not that I doubted you, it just sounded strange)

From what I have read the pressure is so low you could bearly get a reading from one. I would have to make a logical guess and say it is for maintaining good fuel flow at harsh angles.

Reguardless, pump or no pump the floats should rise and cause the needle and seat to stop fuel flow.

I too would steer towards the float being out of spec or it's saturated with fuel.
